STEP 1: Systems vs Goals
CREATE SYSTEMS NOT CHASE GOALS
Goals are specific outcomes you want to achieve (e.g., "lose 10 pounds," "write a book").
Systems are the daily habits, routines, or processes you follow to reach those goals (e.g., "exercise 30 minutes a day," "write 500 words daily").
Key difference:
Goals are about the result; systems are about the process. Focusing on systems helps you make consistent progress, even after achieving (or missing) a goal.
Step 2: the X factor
Exercise
Cardio
Nutrition
Recovery
Exercise Cardio Nutrition Recovery
The X factor is YOU. Let me explain. After creating a system toward what you want to achieve, you will need to apply the system to your own life. It is easy to say “do cardio for 30 minutes everyday to lose 25lbs” but how does this system coordinate with the rest of the systems currently in place with your life and how can your other systems coordinate with this one to ensure mutual success.
Health and fitness are heavily intertwined which makes sense that systems between the two play a huge role in creating successful systems. For example, that same 30 minutes of cardio can be far more (or far less) effective depending on your consistency, time of day, sleep quality, diet, hydration, intensity, and whether it’s paired with resistance training.
When more than one system is formed and systems are connected, this starts to create a lifestyle. Someone who does weight training, eats nutritionally balanced meals, hydrates well, sleeps efficiently, and monitors/tracks their data have a much higher chance of success, with not only doing cardio 30 minutes a day but also sustaining the 25lb weight loss. This is not only because they are putting in more effort but it’s because their systems do not cause friction with each other, rather, the systems all support one another to work more efficiently and produce better results.
Step 3: x-Step Fitness
At X-Step Fitness clients will change the way they approach exercise by first redefining what it means to start a fitness journey. Every client goes through an in-depth consultation designed to build the foundation for lasting change — helping them step into the lifestyle and mindset of the person who already has the results they desire.
During the consultation, we’ll identify the primary system that will drive your results and the supporting systems that will ensure its success. This is the core purpose of our first session. You’ll leave with clarity and a concrete action plan that you can start implementing immediately. A plan that relies less on fleeting motivation and more on smart, sustainable planning.
Taking on the role as your fitness coach, I will help guide you every step of the way to establish realistic and optimized systems that will help achieve measurable results both inside and outside of the gym.
